Question 1

What kinds of work does Meldrune support?

Accepted Answer

Meldrune supports facility-management and broader field-service jobs across site context, scheduling, assignments, procedures, field checks, evidence, defects, reporting, and customer sign-off. Fire safety and alarms plus security, CCTV, and access-control work are supported starting points; Meldrune does not replace legal, regulatory, or customer-specific obligations.

Question 2

How does a field engineer run a job on site?

Accepted Answer

A field employee opens the scheduled and assigned job, checks the site and system context, follows the attached procedure, taps through each check, and adds notes or defects where context is needed. The visit keeps its progress and evidence as it moves toward completion.

Question 3

Can customers and site managers track job status?

Accepted Answer

Where the workspace is configured for it, the customer job view gives the relevant customer or site manager access to assigned, active, and completed work, along with the activity and evidence made available for that job.

Question 4

How does Meldrune establish accountability?

Accepted Answer

Jobs have named assignments, procedures show what was completed, status history shows how work progressed, and defects can carry an owner and follow-up action. Customer sign-off and reporting are included where the configured workflow supports them.

Question 5

What evidence can a job capture?

Accepted Answer

A job can capture check outcomes, notes, defects, timestamps, status history, and uploaded evidence such as files or images where enabled. That keeps more of the visit together than a completion status alone.

Question 6

How do procedures support consistent daily operations?

Accepted Answer

Meldrune turns a procedure into a repeatable run for the engineer, so important steps are visible across similar jobs instead of living in scattered documents or memory. Teams can see incomplete checks, defects, and follow-up work sooner.

Question 7

How are sites, systems, and job categories organized?

Accepted Answer

Work is organized around sites, systems and equipment, job categories, procedures, and visits. That gives teams useful context for finding the right job and following activity across locations.

Question 8

How do we start a workflow with Meldrune?

Accepted Answer

Start with a facility-management workflow that matches your sites and team, then use the contact route or Billing settings (/settings/billing) to discuss procedures, job categories, scheduling, workspace setup, and paid access. The seven-day trial starts immediately; during or after the trial, request the £25 GBP per named user per month upgrade for manual payment and administrator activation. Request changes at least three days before the next billing date so they can be processed manually, including seats, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations. Fire safety and alarms plus security are strong starting points, and the same workflow can support adjacent trade teams.
